Café at Chiswick House

Chiswick House Café is open daily from 8.30am until 6pm (summer), and until 4pm (winter). It will only close on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The new Chiswick House Café opened its doors on 1 February 2010, serving delicious sandwiches, soups and the best of modern British cooking to local residents and visitors. The café plays a significant role in the restoration and transformation of one of the most important landscapes in Britain.

Designed by award-winning architects Caruso St John, the contemporary space looks out on the magnificent gardens and neo-Palladian villa, surely one of the best settings in the capital. Seating 60 indoors, with space for a further 80 outdoors, the Café offers a wide selection of refreshments throughout the day, as well as catering for private functions in the evening.

While the service at the Chiswick House Café is self-service, there is a strong team of staff, led by general manager Kerry-Ann Rose from Company of Cooks.

Private event hire, for celebrations such as birthdays and anniversaries, can be arranged in the Café in the evenings for up to 100 people. Enquiries should be directed to the Events team using the form below.

With the exception of assistance dogs, dogs are not allowed inside the café and must be kept on a short lead in the vicinity of the café building. The café has a covered seated terrace where dog owners with their pets are most welcome to enjoy the new facility.
