'The Duchess' Costumes come to Chiswick House
An exhibition of Michael O’Connor’s OSCAR winning costumes from the popular film ‘The Duchess’ can be seen at Chiswick House everyday during April.
The exhibition traces the controversial life of Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire whose excessive appetite for gambling and politics, together with a complicated love life and great charisma, guaranteed her celebrity status.
Chiswick House has chosen to host this exciting exhibition because of the deep historical connection between 18th Century Chiswick and the Devonshire family. The exhibition is a collaboration between the Chiswick House and Gardens Trust and English Heritage.
Georgiana referred to it as her “earthly paradise”. The elegant apartments will provide a perfect setting for these stunning costumes.
