Good Health, Good Harvest!
Join us on Sunday 11th September from 11am until 4pm for a celebration of our harvest and all things healthy along with all the fun of the fair - coconut shy, apple bobbing & Garden Detectives!
You will be able to see how much progress we have made during this year, growing vegetables and fruit in our community project with lots of produce for sale. Advice will be on hand about growing your own food as well as information on building your own raised beds and compost heaps. There will be potato digging demonstrations plus a chance to dig your own potatoes and buy them.
Lots of local organisations promoting healthy living and lifestyles are adding to the fun from demonstrations and 'join in sessions' of Scottish country dancing to Tai Chi and creating your own aromatherapy bags from the herbs and spices you grind and blend with Hounslow Adult & Community Education's Family Learning. Suggestions as to how to cook all your delicious vegetables will be available as well as our popular soda-bread making demonstrations and making your own ice cream.
Entry is free and is via the Conservatory, or the gate from the A4 car park, or through the Western Walled Garden. Some activities may charge for involvement and donations are welcomed. Refreshments will be available. Please note that dogs must be on a short lead in the Walled Gardens.
