Roots and Shoots

The gardening team were delighted to welcome six students from Roots and Shoots to help create a camellia and plant display for the Conservatory for all the visitors to the Camellia Show to enjoy.

The students worked together combining all the plants and shrubs with the Camellias. Concentrating on a colour palette of beautiful reds, oranges, greens and whites, they used plants and blooms, including cascading and fragrant Camellia japonica ‘Quintessence’.

It was their first visit to Chiswick House and Gardens and experience of working with the team in the Conservatory. Please visit the Chiswick Buzz link on the right to see the video that was made on the day with interviews that help to capture the inspiration for the display - we hope that there will be other collaborations with Roots and Shoots.
